This option is available for marriage to a Turkish citizen and for the family of a foreign national. Generally, if one family member has obtained a residence permit, they can arrange residence permits for other relatives, such as a spouse, dependent children, and children under 18.

To obtain a residence permit for close relatives (family residence permit), you must submit documents confirming family relationships to the foreign affairs office, such as marriage or birth certificates. These documents must be translated into Turkish and notarized.

In addition, you need to collect a package of documents that includes:

• application (submitted on the website of the General Directorate of Migration);
• 4 photographs (3x4 cm);
• passport;
• medical insurance issued in Turkey;
• criminal record information;
• bank statement/proof of currency exchange for the appropriate amount/income certificate;
• documents confirming your residential address in Turkey.
