Results of property sales in Turkey in january 2024

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the average price of property rose to TL 3 million (about $101,000) in the first month of this year. The average property price per sq. m in the country is 24,000 TL ($777). In the province of Istanbul, this figure reaches TL 36.8 thousand ($1,200) per sq. m, and for a residential unit it is TL 4.2 million ($136,600).

These figures reflect the overall statistics for the province, with prices generally higher in Istanbul.

Regions with the highest cost increases among the popular regions (average price per housing unit and per sq. m):

• Ankara: an increase of 87%, averaging TL 2.6 million ($83,000) per housing unit; TL 19.8 thousand per sq. m ($639).
• Antalya: a 59% increase, TL 3.7 million ($120,800); TL 32.6 thousand per sq. m ($1,000).
• Mugla: a 93% increase, TL 7.2 million ($231,800); TL 55.3 thousand per sq. m ($1,800).

Among the regions with the largest drop in sales (in January compared to December), Mugla leads the way.
