Russians rank first in the number of real estate deals in Turkey

The Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat) summed up the results of sales in the Turkish real estate market for November. According to the statistics, Russians have become the leading buyers of Turkish real estate among foreigners. In total, they concluded 2,575 transactions. Iranians rank second in the number of homes purchased by a significant margin. They purchased 510 apartments and houses. The third place belongs to the Iraqis, who concluded 331 deals. Citizens of Ukraine (227 transactions) and Germany (224 transactions) are also in the top 5. The volume of sales to foreigners for the current period of 2022 increased by 20.4% compared to the same period last year. Antalya, Istanbul and Mersin remain the most popular regions for foreigners to buy housing.
