In Istanbul, the capital of Turkey, the annual increase in rental rates for January 2022 was 97.7%. The rental price of one square meter has reached TRY 44.
The annual growth in January this year was 13.1% higher than the growth in December 2021.
The price increase also affected the real estate sales segment. The annual price increase for December 2021 was 63%. But the rise in real estate prices did not stop the growth of sales volumes.
More than 39,000 properties were sold in Istanbul. The month before, sales totaled 32,000 properties. In total, 276,000 properties were sold in 2021, while only 265,000 were sold a year earlier.
