During the current period of the year, foreign citizens make a record number of real estate purchases in Turkey

Russian investors are among the top three foreign buyers of real estate. Over the past 11 months, they have purchased 4,494 housing units, 836 of them in November. Only Iranians and Iraqis overtake Russian citizens. In November alone, foreign nationals purchased almost 7,500 properties, indicating an increased interest in local properties. The average cost of housing exceeded $196,000. The Turkish authorities expect that this figure may rise to $225,000 in the near future, which is not surprising given the fall in the value of the lira and the rise in the price of building materials.
